How far have we gone in civilization?

                          In a fast moving world where we live, change is constant. There is a saying that goes: “There is nothing permanent except change.” It could be a transformation for the better or for the worse. As the hands of the clock move, as the sun shines at east and sets at west, as the moon shines in a very bright evening, and as the planets revolve around the sun, there is a change. Whether it's a big or small change, it can really affect the living of human beings-us.

                                                We are so lucky to be experiencing the benefits of the contributions of the past civilizations. Our civilization today is a blend from the civilizations that came throughout the travel in time. Each civilization had its useful contributions and ideas developed by the next civilizations. It was been a long time since the first ever civilization started.

                               Great infrastructures are symbols of so much development in our community. In ancient times, magnificent buildings are not present such as what we have today. It attracts tourists, thus, bringing income to the nation enabling ones land to progress. Mall is a type of commercial area which brings entertainment and satisfaction of necessity. In a matter of entertainment, cinemas and arcade are there as sources of fun. We can also buy our needs in shopping malls such as the things that we use everyday. In the past civilizations, I think restaurants are not present yet. The ancient people just ate their food at their own houses.

                                  Education is further develop everytime. Many classrooms are built through the years. In our nation, government officials implemented that the number of school years will be added because they said that we're left behind from other nations.

                                                In the field of medicine, we improved a lot. Ancient people in early times just used herbal medicines like leaves, roots, and the like. Today, we are now using medicines in the forms of tablets, capsules, and syrups.

                                       Transportation really drives on the road to a better civilization. In the past, people just walked toward their destinations, next to that, they ride on boats and travel with the aid of the bodies of water, and now, people use different forms of transportation like airplanes and the like.

                                      Some ancient people ate raw food, next to that, they cooked food and some were cooked for a very long period of minutes, at present, we have our instant foods for the convenience of all.

                               Gadgets of today browse further technology. Long time ago, the gadgets we have today do not exist in the early times but ideas of people in early times contribute to the wonderful creation of gadgets. The gadgets we have today are the computers, cellular phones, music players, and the like.

                                                 We can't deny the fact that the ideas of the early civilizations help a lot to the creation of our civilization today.With the elements we have today, I can really say that we have gone so far in civilization. The transformation is very visible to our naked eyes, thus, we can also feel it in our surroundings and the people around us. There are so much development in terms of infrastructures, education, medicine, transportation, food, gadgets, and many more. We are so blessed to inherit the contributions of the previous civilizations.

How the advancement in civilization helps humanity?

          Time after time, the community is on progress. Its transformation is very visible to our eyes. I think, we are all aware that there is the existence of the advancement in civilization and we can't deny the fact that it really helps humans-us. For me, advancement in civilization is the progress of a certain community resulting to a better living of people and convenience to all.

          As mortal beings, advancement in civilization is so essential in order for us to perform our daily activities. It helps humanity by making our lives better and more comfortable than the living of the people in yesteryears. It offers convenience and it may lessen our burdens.

          Many buildings were erected, thus, it can really prove that our civilization is in the matter of advancement. Commercial areas are seen almost everywhere in civilized places. Malls are great examples of these. Inside the mall, we can find entertainment like watching movies. In this place, we can buy a lot of objects that are necessary and the luxurious things that we want. Restaurant is a place where our craving for food is satisfied.

          Education is also one concrete example of the advancement in civilization. We avoid ignorance through having it. We can acquire it by enrolling to a school. In this place, we can learn through having group activities, reading books, and listening to our teachers. Education produces elite individuals who contribute to the betterment of society. They are the ones who are considered professionals and who acquired enough education.

          Medicine is very important to our living. It helps humanity by curing sickness. With its aid, we are able to enjoy the gift of life. When we get sick, we should take medicine for our body to fight that certain illness.

          The way of transportation enables us to go to our destinations. We save time and physical energy when we ride on vehicles. Motorcycles, tricycles, and jeepneys are used for destinations that are near. Cars, vans, and buses are used for not so far distances while airplanes, helicopters, and ships are used for far distance.

          

          Products which are easy to cook and ready to eat are very useful such as noodles, canned goods, and oatmeal. We can save time and do other things that we need to do. These products are very significant especially in times when we are in a hurry. It can't consume so much time in preparing our food.

          Different gadgets, appliances, and machines mark the occurrence of an advance civilization. Cellular phones are used by most people in all parts of the world. Many individuals who have passion for music bring their music players and use them in times of boredom. Television is a good source of news and even entertainment. Refrigerators and other different appliances help a lot in our daily living. Nowadays, computer plays an important role especially to students and teachers who make researches. We can also observe that other workers use it too.

          Those factors made us more blessed than the people in ancient times. As a way of thanksgiving, we should further develop their ideas for the upcoming generation. We are called to give credits to the people behind all these contributions.
